I am very troubled with where both the Republican and Democratic parties have been leading us. I have voted for both parties over the years, but in the last few years I feel both parties have switched from serving the many to serving primarily the elite rich or high profile people. More CEOs and board members of corporations are becoming more concerned for their pocket books with little or no regard for their employees. Also back-dating their bonuses is illegal and they should be convicted and sent to jail. Per "Nightline," Steve Jobs, Chairman of Apple Computers, was being investigated for back-dating bonuses of millions of dollars, but who came to tell the government it was all legal and correct was Al Gore (former vice president), who happens to be a board member of Apple. The average person would be put in jail for stealing, but since it is high profile people (or former politicians) who give lots of money to the parties/politicians, they get treated differently and allowed to get by with this.
Also allowing the oil and gas industries to charge ridiculous pricing (which, like electricity, should be regulated) without concern of people who only make minimum wage to $15 per hour to support a family on. I know some people will say it is the Republicans who are friends with the oil and gas companies, but don't kid yourself -- so are the Democrats. If you notice the Democrats complained about the oil and gas prices before the elections last year, but now that they are in control of the U. S. House and Senate they have done little or nothing about this issue. How do these people and parties live with this? The reason is most of these people have put themselves in jobs (either through their parties or connections) in definitely higher than average pay.
Please do not mock me by sending a reply that these parties are concerned and only showing a few instances that would try to prove this false, because their vast actions do not show or prove it. I am willing to work with people to help make a change and get the people who are in charge of the government to prove in action and just not words to help all people. The first thing both of these parties need to do is quit pointing fingers at each other (which wastes too much time and throws smoke screens) and work together to get things done for the common man, woman and child.
