Leo Edwin Neuerburg, 89, of Wadena, passed away Aug. 29, 2007, at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena.

He was born to Nicholas and Louise (Tabery) Neuerburg on June 6, 1918, on the family farm in Wadena County. He married Dorothy Jane Denny on Nov. 23, 1940, in Waterloo, Iowa. He was a lifetime member of the Wadena community and was employed for many years as an electrician and retired after finishing his career with Todd-Wadena Electric Cooperative. He was also a farmer and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his grandkids.

The funeral mass was Friday, Aug. 31 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena with the Rev. Donald Wagner as celebrant. Pallbearers were Eric Neuerburg, Tyler Uselman, Scott Walz, Matt Rousslang, Nathan Neuerburg, Jeremy Neuerburg, Josh Neuerburg and Ivan Lorentz. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Wadena. Arrangements were by the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena ( www.johnsonmemorialhome.com ).

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; sons, Jim (Sharon) of Perham, Robert (Marilyn) of Verndale, Mark (Patty) of Northfield, and Jerry (Lori) of New York Mills; daughters, Glenda (Ray) Uselman of Perham, Kathleen (Mike) Kust of Maple Plain, Pat (Dan) Lorentz, and Barb (Dave) Rousslang of Wadena; 33 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; brothers, Herb Neuerburg of Wadena and Earl Neuerburg of Fridley; sisters, Marie Willan, Bert Imdieke and Sal Erickson of Wadena. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Louise; and brothers, Bernard, Norbert and Larry.
