Larry Joseph Rohr, 57, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena.
He was born April 16, 1951, to Herman and Betty (Worden) Rohr, Jr. in Wadena. He lived his entire life in Wadena, attending Wadena public schools and graduating with the class of 1970. He worked for the city of Wadena for more than 34 years before his retirement. He was involved with Relay For Life. In his spare time he enjoyed yard work and visiting with his many friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, Jan. 9 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena with the Revs. Donald Wagner and Wilfred Theisen as celebrants. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Wadena. Pallbearers were Mike Worden, Andy Worden, Don Durkee, Rick Youngbauer, Mike Youngbauer and David Youngbauer. Arrangements were with the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena ( www.johnsonmemorialhome.com ).
Survivors include his son, Matthew Rohr of St. Paul; his daughter, Melissa Rohr of Olathe, Kan.; and brothers, Gary Rohr of Staples, and Greg Rohr of Monticello, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Betty.
