Kenneth Wayne Kolb, 58, of Staples and formerly of Little Falls, passed away unexpectedly at the Perham Memorial Hospital in Perham on June 18, 2007.

Kenneth Wayne Kolb, 58, of Staples and formerly of Little Falls, passed away unexpectedly at the Perham Memorial Hospital in Perham on June 18, 2007.

He was born March 5, 1949, to Herbert and RuthAnn (Schumach) Kolb in Aberdeen, S.D. He worked in operations and as general manager at Falls Fabricating in Little Falls.

He married Laura Morton at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church on Aug. 12, 1995. They lived in the area for 10 years and he enjoyed fishing, farming, going to church and spending time with his family, particularly his children and grandchildren. He was a humorous, caring father and husband who enjoyed all aspects of life. He will be greatly missed by all of the lives he has touched.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 23, at the Verndale Alliance Church in Verndale with the Rev. Daryl Jacobson presiding. Pallbearers were Steve Weisenburger, Tony Kvasnicka, Dan Tretter, Bruce Crider, Marcus Edin and Chuck Bimberg. Interment was in the West Lyons Cemetery located at Oylen, Minn. Arrangements were with the Johnson Memorial Home in Verndale ( www.johnsonmemorialhome.com .)

Survivors include his wife, Laura; parents, Herbert and RuthAnn Kolb; daughters, Jessica Ross of Austin, Texas, Jamie Ollhoff of St. Michael, Minn., and Karrie Walter of Foreston, Minn.; stepdaughter Bernadine Flickenger of Motley, and stepsons Kenny Dahlvang of Wickenburg, Ariz. and Ron Dahlvang of Verndale; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Robert Kolb and Steve Kolb, both of Westport, S.D.; and countless friends.
