Heidi Van Dyke's Wadena-Deer Creek junior varsity volleyball team wrapped up its 2008 season with a 12-2 record.
The Wolverines placed second in their own JV tournament.
WDC posted victories over Perham, Park Rapids, Breckenridge, Pelican Rapids, Crosby-Ironton, Sebeka, New York Mills, Pine-River-Backus, Bertha-Hewitt, Staples-Motley, Frazee and Pequot Lakes. Their only losses were to Detroit Lakes and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton.
"The ladies have a lot to be proud of," Van Dyke said. "Each and every game the ladies came out to the court ready to play and win. They have super team spirit, dedication and a willingness to take on any challenge that came their way."
