During the early morning hours of Sunday, Dec. 4, the Wadena County Sheriff's Office received a report of a one vehicle roll-over on 260th Street in Section 18 of North Germany Township, southeast of Sebeka.
Emergency responders and law enforcement responded to the scene and located a 2004 Dodge Dakota pickup resting in the south ditch of 260th Street. At the scene the responders found three passengers and the driver, all with non-life threatening injuries. Another passenger was found outside the vehicle after he had been ejected during the crash. All but one of the injured were juveniles.
Law enforcement learned that the vehicle had been traveling west on Wadena County Road 10. The driver failed to stop at the intersection with County Road 23, investigators said, and the vehicle went airborne and landed on 260th Street.
The driver told law enforcement the vehicle hit a washboard area on the gravel road and started to fishtail. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle entered the south ditch of 260th Street and started to roll. Evidence at the scene suggests the vehicle rolled two to three times before coming to rest on all four wheels. The driver and three passengers were transported to Tri-County Hospital by ambulances, treated for their injuries and released to their parents. The passenger that had been ejected was transported to Tri-County Hospital and later airlifted to another emergency care facility.
The crash in under investigation by the sheriff's office. It is believed speed and alcohol were factors in the crash, the sheriff's office said. None of the occupants of the vehicle were wearing their seat belts.

The ejected passenger's condition was unknown at the time of this report. The Wadena County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by Sebeka Police Department, Menahga Police Department, Verndale Police Department, The Minnesota State Patrol, Sebeka Fire and Rescue, North Memorial Ambulance, Staples Ambulance, Tri-County Ambulance Services and K&K Towing.
