There will be a Jumpin' Jehosafats concert at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7 at the Sebeka United Methodist Church, 100 S. Jefferson Ave.
Their music is equal parts traditional jazz and gospel. They have been together since 1985 and have played more than 700 benefit concerts in the Midwest and Carribean. They have played in churches, prisons, nursing homes, homeless shelters, riverboats, the Minnesota State Fair and hilltop Jamaican villages. Every summer they take a "world tour" of northern Minnesota. All proceeds beyond expenses are given to a variety of ecumenical causes.
A free will offering will be taken to help cover expenses and the concert will be followed by a pot luck meal.
