A Hewitt man faces charges of second-degree burglary in Wadena County, and forgery in Todd County, according to police records.

Christopher Paul Graphenteen, 19, is accused of stealing and forging checks from a relative in Todd County and burglarizing the home of another relative in Wadena in November.

On Jan. 17, the Todd County Sheriff's Office interviewed Graphenteen about 11 checks that were taken from a family member. According to an incident report, Graphenteen admitted taking the checks and forging the family member's name on a total of $365 worth of purchases.

At the same time, Graphenteen allegedly admitted to a burglary in Wadena at another relative's house in November, when he took $100 in cash from a safe in a bedroom.

His first appearance in Wadena County District Court was set for March 8.
