The Wadena County Highway Department closed 191st Ave., between County Road 9 and 260th Street last week due to excessive water flowing under the road collapsing the gravel roadway. Other roadways have been effected but are seeing some relief as waters seem to have peaked.

Water was temporarily diverted from a flooded portion of road on Lincoln Ave. SW to a ditch area along the edge of Tapley Park last week in Wadena. Melting snow and rainfall created some flooded roadways around the city.

A bit of flooding overtakes a portion of road in the Wadena County Fairgrounds Tuesday morning. The Commercial Building and Horse Barn are some of the newer buildings on site since the tornado destruction in 2010. The horse barn gets extra use as a school bus garage in the off season.
