Friendly Rider Transit now offers a way to transport bicycles.
B.O.B. (Bikes. On. Bus.) is the newest member of the Friendly Rider team.
Transit coordinator Ryan Damlo said the bike rack was purchased with a grant by Health4Life, a collaboration of Cass, Morrison, Todd and Wadena County Public Health. The bike rack, which was just under $2,000, was completely funded by the grant and installed recently.
It's easy to use and Damlo said videos will be posted showing passengers how to use the rack while riding the bus.
"It will be good for those people that like to ride their bicycles around town but don't want to get stuck at the grocery store if it starts raining," he said.

Damlo used the bus and bike rack earlier this week while his car was in the shop.
"I have a passion for bikes and this is a great opportunity for riders," he said.
If someone wants to get a ride with Friendly Rider and use the bike rack just call (218) 631-5730 and request the Bikes. On. Bus. because there is just one rack so far. Eventually, Damlo would like to equip all the buses with B.O.B.
Support for this project is provided by the Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP), Minnesota Department of Health, and Health4Life. Health4Life is a collaboration of the Cass, Morrison, Todd, and Wadena County Public Health departments working together to create healthier communities.
