If unofficial vote totals hold, the two incumbents for the Wadena City Council will retain their seats, but not by much.
Jeanette Baymler received 817 votes in Wadena's four precincts. Toby Pierce had 740. Challenger Gillette Kempf received 736 votes, meaning the margin between she and Pierce was less than two-tenths of 1 percent.
Vote totals are unofficial until a board of canvassing certifies them.
There were also 23 write-in votes for Wadena City Council.
Mayor Wayne Wolden, who was unopposed, received 1,147 votes against 68 write-ins.
