Florence L. Roth, 90, of Delano, Minn., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009.
She was born Dec. 20, 1918, to David and Abbie (Murphy) Sutton in Independence, Minn. She attended the Mankato Teachers College, receiving her teacher's certificate. From college she started teaching in the rural schools and eventually the Dassel School system. Upon her marriage to Leonard Roth, she became a full-time homemaker.
In fall 1973, Florence and Leonard moved to Wadena. After Leonard's death, she returned to Delano in December 1995.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 8 at the Delano United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services at the church on Sunday. The Rev. Matthew Sipe will officiate with interment in the Delano Public Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
Survivors include her children and spouses, Paul and Diane Roth, Anita and John Branson, Neal and Geri Roth, David Roth and special friend Meredith Low, and Lori Vrchota; seven grandchildren; sister, June Sutton; and sisters-in-law, Gen Roth and Catherine Murphy.
