Finn Creek invited the whole community to join its sixth annual holiday open house this weekend at the Finn Creek Museum.
Finnish heritage conversation with the general topic of Finnish and Finnish American Christmas past and present will be held for two more days. Last weekend warm words of Finnish and Finnish American Christmas memories filled the General Store and organizers invited the public to partake in sharing and learning this history.
The General Store will again be highlighting modern Finnish designs including Marimekko, Aarikka and Iittala. Visitors will learn about Finnish Christmas, enjoy coffee and cardamom pulla.
The Finn Creek Museum holiday open house will take place again this weekend, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, and from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 28. If you have never been to the Finn Creek Open Air Museum, follow U.S. Highway 10 approximately 3 miles east of New York Mills to State Highway 106. Go 2.5 miles south on 106 and turn right on 340th Street. Go another one-half mile and Finn Creek will be on the left.
