A Fergus Falls woman was charged in Wadena County District Court with theft for allegedly taking and pawning a TV that didn't belong to her.
In early October, the owner of the TV reported it stolen after purchasing it for about $700 from a Wadena store. The TV, which was matched with a serial number from the original box, turned up at a local pawn shop. It was allegedly traced to Kayla Ashley Linton, 20, who pawned it for $120, according to a court complaint. Linton was charged Dec. 12 with two counts of theft.
Her first court appearance was set for Jan. 10.
