Wadena-Deer Creek sixth-grade band students played a few selections at the second annual FALL FEST at the elementary school.
More than $2,500 was raised for the Wadena-Deer Creek Elementary Band program at the second annual FALL FEST held recently at WDC Elementary School. The fundraiser was coordinated by the Wadena-Deer Creek Education Foundation board and volunteers.
Students in the Elementary Band and High School Band performed during the FALL FEST for attendees to enjoy. The WDC Elementary Band program is directed by Ken Nelson and Lisa Weniger. The High School Band is under the direction of Weniger.
"We appreciate the efforts of the WDC Education Foundation as well as the community for their continued support of the elementary band program," said Ken Nelson. "This money helps keep the program going, which is a great benefit to our youth."
