Evan Robert Benson, 2 1/2 months, of New York Mills, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at Lake Region Hospital, in Fergus Falls.
He was born Nov. 4, 2008, in Detroit Lakes, to Catey Ness and Kevin Benson. Even though he was here only a short time he touched many hearts with his smiles and coos.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 21, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Perham, with the Rev. Carl Noble officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Survivors include his parents, Catey Ness of New York Mills and Kevin Benson of Detroit Lakes; grandparents, Rhonda Adams of Fergus Falls, Jake Wolter of Fergus Falls, David Ness of Wadena, Helen Sheppard of Warroad, Ed Benson of Wisconsin, Kenneth of Warroad, Minn.; one great-great-grandparent, Norman (Virginia) Adams; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Norman Dean Adams; great-grandmother, Elfreda Adams; great-great-grandparents, Frank and Hazel Cottrell; and cousin, Samantha Adams.
