It is hard to believe, but we are nearing the end of the school year. With just a couple of weeks to go, there are a few items I would like to remind everyone of. First of all, our last day of school (May 29) will have an early dismissal. The students at the elementary will be released at 12:50 p.m., and the high school students will be leaving at 1 p.m. Students will be served their regular lunch and then be released shortly afterwards. This was not on the original school calendar, so please take note and have plans in place for transportation if your child does not ride the bus.
Secondly, parents please stress to your kids the importance of ending the school year on a good note. As the weather gets warmer, some students ease up on the schoolwork. Please remind them of the importance of finishing the year strong. They will soon have three months of summer vacation to forget about homework.
Finally, I would like to thank the parents and students for a great first year as principal for me. We have an extraordinary group of kids at this school, and that would not be possible without support from home. You should be proud of your kids and thanks again for everything you do.
