Minnesota State Community and Technical College will award 810 degrees to graduating students during spring commencement ceremonies on its four campuses May 2-8, according to an M State news release.
Campus graduation events are open to the public and are scheduled for:
Detroit Lakes: 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Detroit Lakes High School. The student speaker is Andrew Hanson (Architectural Drafting and Design, Associate of Applied Science degree).
Fergus Falls: 3 p.m. Thursday, May 3, in the Spartan gymnasium. The student speakers are Nikola Schulz (Associate of Arts degree) and Titus Torkelson (Associate of Fine Arts and AA degrees), and the keynote speaker is Dr. Joshua Overgaard, an M State alum. A reception will follow the ceremony in Legacy Hall.
Wadena: 5 p.m. Friday, May 4, at the Wadena-Deer Creek High School. The student speaker is Shane Motschenbacher (Business Associate of Science degree).
Moorhead: 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, at Concordia College's Memorial Auditorium. The student speaker is Mehria Azizi (Medical Administrative Assistant AAS degree).
As a member of the Minnesota State system, M State serves more than 8,000 students in credit courses each year in more than 70 career and liberal arts programs online and at its campuses in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena. By partnering with communities, the college also provides workforce development services and other responsive training programs.
