A disaster recovery center for those affected by the June 17 tornados in Wadena and Otter Tail Counties is being established at the Wadena Armory.

The Wadena-Otter Tail Disaster Recovery Center has been established to allow the residents and businesses of Otter Tail and Wadena counties to get answers and guidance regarding their uninsured disaster-related losses and damages.

Representatives from local, state, federal and other supporting agencies will provide resources to assist individuals and families in their disaster recovery. These disaster related resources include, but not limited to:

  • Farm advocacy
  • Unemployment
  • Housing
  • Long term recovery assistance
  • Emotional support

The DRC will be at the Wadena National Guard Armory, at 517 N. Jefferson St. Hours of operation will be:
Friday, July 9, 1-7 p.m.

Saturday, July 10, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sunday, July 11, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Monday, July 12, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

People seeking disaster recovery guidance can stop in to the DRC during hours of operation. Appointments are not needed.

The DRC is sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, in cooperation with their disaster recovery partner agencies.
