The 76th Northeast 4-H Livestock Show was held in Brainerd, Sept. 18-19, playing host to the cream of the crop livestock in the northeast region of the state.
To participate in the show, 4-Hers must have received a blue ribbon at their county fair to be eligible to compete in this two-day show. The first day of the show focused on educational opportunities for youths to participate in relating to the species of animal they are interested in. The second day of the show highlighted the 4-Hers and their livestock in the species shows.
Wadena County was represented by seven 4-H members all receiving blues in showmanship and placing very well in livestock classes. Results are as follows:
- Meredith Cochran; Sebeka, Swine Reserve Champion, Blue in Showmanship
- Mackenzie Cochran; Sebeka, Poultry Champion, Blue in showmanship
- Amber Johnson; Sebeka, Beef Blue, Blue in Showmanship
- Emilee Riggle; Deer Creek, Rabbit Blue, Blue in Showmanship
- Madigan Cochran; Sebeka, Market Beef Red, Blue in Showmanship
- Katie Benson, Staples, Poultry Blue, Champion in Showmanship
- Emily Astle, Deer Creek, Rabbit Blue, Blue in showmanship
