Gregg and Joan Goeden delivered more than 400 ears of sweet corn they grew on their farm west of Wadena to WDC Elementary School on Sept. 27. WDC students got the opportunity to shuck the corn on Sept. 27. The sweet corn was prepared by WDC food services staff and served to K-6 students the following day. The sweet smell of the corn filled the hallways on Sept. 27 and students enthusiastically welcomed the fresh corn on their lunch plate. This is part of the Farm to School program and the University of Minnesota Extension Office.
