Wadena County Public Health is interested in acquiring public input in assessing the county's health needs and prioritizing the needs for Community Health.
The public is invited to attend an assessment of needs meeting from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2 and a prioritization of needs meeting from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday Oct. 18. Both meetings will be held in the courthouse auditorium.
Needs and problems will be assessed in the following areas:
- Healthy communities and healthy behaviors including maternal and child health; alcohol, tobacco and drug use; violence; mental health; chronic disease; and prevention of unitended injury
- Preventing infectious disease
- Environmental health hazards
- Disaster preparedness and response
- Assuring access to quality health services including care coordination for senior, child health screening outreach and jail inmate health
