Clement John Tigges, 84, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena. He was a lifetime resident of this community.

He was born Jan. 28, 1922, to John and Ida (Busche) Tigges in Compton Township. He served our country in the Navy during World War II. On Dec. 28, 1957, he married Lucille Budahn. He was manager of Merickel Hardware in Wadena and upon retirement he did some painting. He enjoyed his home and family. He was a member of the Elmer Goche Post here in Wadena.

The Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Jan. 29, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena with the Rev. Donald Wagner celebrating. The burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wadena. Elmer Goche Post 3922, V.F.W., Wadena will provide the military honors. Pallbearers will be Tyrell Tigges, Dustin Tigges, Wes Daas, Ron Daas, Jerry Dass, and Jeff Daas.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille; son, Paul (Crystal) of Sebeka; two grandsons; sisters, Jenny (William) Zavanelli of Pleasanton, Calif., and Dorothy Miller of Lake City, Iowa; brother, John (Von) of Detroit Lakes; brother-in-law, Cliff Perry of Alexandria; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Mary Reed, Loretta Klimek and Leona Perry.
