Wadena Alliance Church, 1428 S. Jefferson St. in Wadena, will present the Easter musical, The Cross at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
The musical is a testament to the power of the cross of Jesus the hideous implement of death that has become an undeniable source of freedom, according to the church. Each one who contributed to the musical can testify to the liberty found in the old, rugged cross. Composers, arrangers and script writers all found common ground in its shadow, according to the press release.
All of us can see something of ourselves in the characters portrayed in the drama script included here, which, though fictional, portrays sentiments, thoughts and emotions that are familiar to all of us, according to the release.
