GROVE CITY, Minn. — A man who was facing a felony criminal sexual conduct charge before he went missing in May was found dead earlier this month, according to Meeker County Sheriff Brian Cruze.

Steven Dale Row, 50, of Paynesville, was found dead in the 53500 block of 335th Street north of Grove City on July 15, according to Cruze.

"On July 15 at about 2 p.m., we got a call from a landowner about a vehicle (on or near their land,)" Cruze said, adding that the vehicle matched the description of Row's vehicle. "Our deputies responded and they located a body out there."

Cruze said the body was sent to autopsy and was positively identified as Row, the St. Cloud Times reported .

"The complete autopsy results are not available yet, but we are investigating it as a suicide," Cruze said.

Row had not been seen since May 23, which is listed in an obituary for Row as the date of his death.

In a Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Crime Alert issued June 24, officials said Row appeared to have been searching for information on suicide before his disappearance.

Row and his wife, 55-year-old Stacy Lee Row, were suspected of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

Stacy Lee Row continues to face a felony first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge. She is expected to appear in court Aug. 9.
