Carla Beth Anderson, who vanished from her Wadena apartment in 1987, is the subject of one of the cards in the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's Cold Case Playing Card Initiative.

The BCA's Cold Case Unit introduced a deck of 52 playing cards that highlight "violent unsolved homicide, missing person, and unidentified remains cases that have occurred throughout the state in the past 50 years," the agency said on its Web site.

The cards were sent to law enforcement agencies, victims' families and corrections facilities.

"The main objective of the playing card initiative is to garner further information and tips to aid in the solvability of Minnesota's cold cases," the BCA said on its Web site.

The agency is calling for any information about the featured cases, which can be made to the BCA phone tip line at (877) 996-6222, or via e-mail to bca.coldcase@state.mn.us .
