Bluffton took advantage Sunday of Miller Sam Tumberg's shaky start on the mound to build a quick 3-0 lead in the first inning. After giving up a base hit to Bluffton's Ben Weller, Tumberg got the next two Braves to fly out and then fell apart as he either walked or hit the next five Bluffton batters. Tumberg got the hook and the Millers brought out Jeremy Weller to stop the bleeding.
Weller did well, lasting 7 1/3 innings, but Bluffton still found ways to score five more runs en route to the 8-2 victory in Hi-10 action on Sunday in Bluffton.
Bluffton's Dustin Geiser allowed just two runs on four hits and struck out seven to earn the win. Ben Weller and Kyle Geiser each collect two hits and Kyle Dykhoff had an RBI double for the Braves.
Bluffton hosts the Vergas Loons at 6 p.m. on Friday.
