The Cultural Center in New York Mills has openings for The Little Big Year's Birding workshop at 7 p.m., May 2, presented by Ben Eckhoff.

Ben Eckhoff is the Area Interpretive Naturalist for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources-Division of Parks and Trails. At this workshop, you will learn more about the oriole and hummingbird species, including what they eat, their nesting habits, how to attract them to your yard and more.

This workshop will include a presentation by Mr. Eckhoff, a question and answer session, and building an oriole feeder to take home with you. Children must be accompanied by an adult and the cost of the feeder is $7.

All materials and equipment will be provided.

There are a limited number of spaces available for the feeder building portion of the workshop and participation will be determined on a first come, first served basis.
