A 58-year-old Bertha woman died as a result of a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Brenda S. Dvorak was killed when her southbound 1987 Ford Escort collided with a northbound 1996 Chevy pickup driven by Jason R. Nelson, 29, of Eagle Bend. The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 71, three miles south of Eagle Bend. The patrol said the accident happened in the southbound lane.
Nelson was also seriously injured, and was taken to St. Cloud Hospital. A passenger in Dvorak's vehicle, Kris J. Dvorak, 29, was not seriously injured.
