September has been designated as National Honey Month, and in commemoration the Todd County Area Beekeepers Association will hold their inaugural meeting on Monday, Sept. 24.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Bertha Community Center. The address is 127 2nd Ave. NW, Bertha.
The evening's agenda will include:
- Introduction to and overview of the TCABA
- A brief introduction to beekeeping, including the equipment and tools needed to start your own hive
- Live observation bee hive display
- Discussion of plans for our Youth Beekeeping Scholarship, designed to help young members get started with their first hive
- Refreshments, door prizes, membership registration and Q&A
