Search warrants were executed Tuesday, Sept. 22 in Wadena in two separate locations, leading to the arrest of six people and the recovery of a "significant" amount of methamphetamine, according to a news release from Sgt./Investigator Tom Crawford of the Wadena Police Department.

The Wadena PD, Central Minnesota Drug Task Force, West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force and the Wadena County Sheriff's Department conducted the searches and allegedly recovered the methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, packaging material, stolen property and a large amount of money, which police believe is drug sale proceeds.

The release said six people were arrested on charges of first- and second-degree conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, and some also had outstanding warrants. But only five were named in the release: Scott Herner, 20, of Staples; Jayme Leigh Fellman, 21, of Staples; Derek Kelly Meide, 21, of Staples; Bonnette Marguerit-Lyn Huddleson, 26, of Wadena, and Tamara Lyn Tucker, 42, of Wadena.

Crawford said the search warrants and arrests stemmed from a cooperative effort between the law enforcement agencies, with additional information provided by the Staples Police Department, which led to the establishment of probable cause for the search warrants.
