Ad representative wins sales excellence award

Brenda (Ament) Brodmarkle, daughter of John Jr. and Melva Ament of Wadena, recently received the William S. (Billy) Morris III Award for advertising sales excellence during a presentation ceremony at the Morris Publishers conference.

Brenda (Ament) Brodmarkle, daughter of John Jr. and Melva Ament of Wadena, recently received the William S. (Billy) Morris III Award for advertising sales excellence during a presentation ceremony at the Morris Publishers conference.

Brodmarkle is an advertising representative with the Brainerd Dispatch, which she joined in January 2002. She previously was awarded the 2005 Brainerd Dispatch Sales Person of the Year.

She will receive, among other prizes, an all-expense-paid trip to the Newspaper Association of Americas annual marketing conference, free gasoline for one year and two roundtrip airline tickets to anywhere in the contiguous United States.

The William S. (Billy) Morris III Award for Advertising Sales Excellence is named for the chairman and chief executive officer of the company. It recognizes two winners of the Presidents Club Award for special achievement in advertising. One is chosen from the metro newspapers and the other from the community newspapers.

Morris Publishing Group, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Morris Communications Company, LLC, a privately held media company based in Augusta, Ga.
