A semi driver was cited for duty to drive with care after tipping a semi Monday on Twin Lakes Road, near Menahga.

Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was called to a report of a rolled semi tractor-trailer at 7:36 a.m., Monday, Sept. 23. Greenwaldt trucking was hauling turkey feed for Jenni-O when the driver, Jacob Harty of Motley, lost control of the semi and rolled. The trailer lost part of its load as the semi tipped., according to a sheriff's office news release.

The remainder of the load had to be removed from the trailer before the tractor trailer could be towed from the scene, which caused Twin Lakes Road to be reduced down to one lane of travel until late afternoon. No injuries resulted from the accident. The driver was cited for duty to drive with due care, as speed appeared to be a contributing factor in the crash.

The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Menahga Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Menahga Fire Department, and J&D Towing of Osage.
