A Menahga man lost control of his motorcycle and sustained injuries outside Nimrod Sunday, Sept. 1.

Deputies on patrol at the Nimrod Jubilee Days celebration were notified of a motorcycle crash just outside of town at 9:39 p.m. Deputies arrived a short time later to County Road 18, just north of County Road 12 to find a motorcycle in the west ditch of County Road 18. A lone male occupant, identified as Michael Dozier, 37, of Menahga was found next to the motorcycle and was complaining of injuries.

Tri-County Ambulance arrived on scene minutes later to assess Dozier. Dozier was then transported to a nearby landing zone to be transported to a Fargo hospital by North Memorial Air Care. His current condition is unknown. Through investigation, it was determined Dozier was southbound on County Road 18 when he lost control of his motorcycle and entered the ditch. Dozier was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was also assisted on scene by Ken’s Towing of Menahga.
