2 injured in crash at Hwy 29 and 75 intersection

Two were injured in a collision at the intersection of Hwy 29 and County Road 75 Saturday when a truck slid into the icy roadway striking another vehicle.

A 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by Christopher Ray Kennedy, 35, Clarissa, was heading south on Otter Tail County 75 when it slid through the intersection of Hwy 29 and t-boned a 2015 Ford Edge traveling west on Hwy 29. Emergency responders were called to the scene at 1:23 p.m.

Donald Clarence Gedde, 83, the driver of the Ford and the passenger Alice Alegts Gedde, 75, both of Deer Creek, received non-life threatening injuries in the crash and were transported to Tri-County Health Care, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report. All involved were wearing their seatbelts. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Assisting on the scene were the Wadena Police Department, Wadena Fire Department and Tri County Ambulance staff.
