  • A driver was preparing to pull out of a gas station parking lot along U.S. Highway 71 when someone waved her into traffic, signaling it was clear to cross. It wasn't ­-- an oncoming vehicle struck her vehicle. No one was injured.

July 20

  • At about 3 p.m. on July 20, a two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of U.S. Highways 10 and 71. Both vehicles were eastbound on 10, stopped at a traffic light, when the woman in the trailing vehicle felt something crawling up her leg and she took her foot off the brake, causing her car to rear-end the front vehicle. No injuries were reported.
