A 13-year-old girl was injured in an ATV crash Monday night in Lyon's Township, Wadena County.
The Wadena County Sheriff's Office received a report of the crash at about 7 p.m. Monday, June 15 in section 28 of Lyon's Township. It was learned that the 13-year-old had rolled the ATV while traveling on a gravel driveway at speeds of approximately 30 mph. She was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was complaining of lower back and head pain, according to the sheriff's office.
North Memorial air care was launched out of Brainerd and responded to the scene but was not utilized. The girl was transported to Lakewood Health System in Staples with non-life threatening injuries. The Wadena County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Sebeka First Responders, Staples Ambulance and North Memorial air care.
