Since February, Wadena congregation members of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses have attended services at a temporary location while renovations were underway where the church body meets. For several months meetings have been held at the former Snap Fitness location.

They'll soon be back to their old site.

For weeks, construction workers have been hastily overhauling the old location. In the brisk April air, dozens of workers worked away at the exterior and interior of the building. All work has been completed by volunteers.

Joe May, a representative of the church shed some light on the renovations. According to May, renovations kicked off in late February 2019. The reason for the renovation stems from a need to make the facility more accessible to people with physical limitations. May explained that members wanted everything to meet ADA specifications. Renovations include adding an elevator, handicap access to the stage, and general beautification.

Minor landscaping work only remains.

Members of the Kingdom Hall will move in with their first official meeting on May 20. Leaders within the church are considering a dedication program and a possible grand opening.

The church currently meets Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 10 a.m.
