The third show of the current concert season presented by the Wadena Area Concert Association takes place on Saturday, Jan. 28 at Wadena Memorial Auditorium starting at 7:30 p.m., and features the Bottom Line Duo husband and wife, Spencer and Traci Hoveskeland playing a concert of classics and pops on their double bass and cello, blended together with a large portion of humor and fun.

Billed as social chamber music or 21st Century Parlor Music the Bottom Line Duo one of three internationally touring bass and cello duos in history has been thrilling audiences with their fast fingers, wit and bows. With humor bordering on outright comedy, they deliver a program with roots in chamber music and an amazing repertoire of modern and popular sounds.

A 300-year-old Italian string bass, a 140-year-old French cello, a Norwegian- American man and a Welsh-Belgian American woman ... add 18 years of marriage and you get a program of tremendous virtuosity, intimacy, entertainment, fun and laughter.

Bottom Line Duo has produced six CDs, a full symphony show, as well as several appearances on National Public Radio. Add to that performances at the Kennedy Center and two performances at Carnegie Hall. Besides the classical pieces, their program will include Blue Moon, Crazy Train, A Hard Day's Night, Autumn Leaves and My Little Suede Shoes.
