Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funding
The Wadena City Council will hold a public hearing during the regular city council meeting on January 14, 2020. The meeting will begin at 5 pm and will be held in the City Administrative Center Council Chambers, located at 222 2nd St SE Wadena.
The purpose of the public hearing is for the council to receive public input and to consider adopting Resolution No. 2020-06 and Resolution No. 2020-07. Both resolutions pertain to identifying community development and housing needs, including the needs of very low and low income persons, as well as other needs of the community that might be addressed through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
The public hearing will include a review of the proposed CDBG activities, benefiting location(s), overall cost and proposed financing, and the implementation schedule.
Citizens will be provided the opportunity to comment on the original Citizen Participation Plan, or to the activities for which CDBG funds will be used.
Information and records regarding the proposed use of CDBG funds will be available at the City Administrative Center during regular business hours.
