Affidavit of Candidacy Filing Period Notice
The City of Wadena will hold a General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Persons interested in serving as Mayor or Council Member must file an Affidavit of Candidacy.
Affidavits of Candidacy may be filed for the following offices:
• One (1) Mayor seat, with a two (2) year term expiring December 31, 2022.
• Two (2) Council Member seats, with four (4) year terms each, expiring December 31, 2024.
When and Where to File for Office:
To file for office, interested persons must file an Affidavit of Candidacy with the Administrator’s Office during the candidate filing period.
Candidate Filing Period:
• July 28 – August 11, 2020, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
• Last date to file – August 11, 2020, 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Affidavit of Candidacy Forms:
Candidates may obtain Affidavit of Candidacy forms from the City Administrator’s Office.
Filing Fee
The filing fee is $2.00.
