In conjunction with the Wadena City Library's Summer Reading Program, University of Minnesota Extension educator Marilyn Hofland plans to visit for a special all-ages storytime on Monday, July 23 at 2 p.m.
She will read special garden-related stories and have some tasting samples for families attending. SNAP-Education recently wrapped up their successful One Vegetable/One Community program, which distributed carrot seeds to members of the community this summer. Over the last two years, they have helped jump-start dozens of gardens in the Wadena-area.
Please note that this special story time will replace the final Gaston and Antoinette event as indicated on distributed schedules.
Logging books and times for the Summer Reading Program ends on Saturday, July 28 and every school-aged patron who completes his or her goal will be put into the drawing for grand prizes on Monday, July 30, following the Professor Marvel magic show.
