An array of regional woodturning handicrafts from the Minnesota Lakes Woodturners group will be on display in the New York Mills Cultural Center main gallery during the final month of 2015.

The show will feature a wide variety of wood pieces from burr bowls to Kransekake trees. Admittance to the gallery and reception is free and open to all.

Turners represented in this show include Bob Lawrence of Fargo, Ruth Severson of Moorhead, Curt Nelson of Sabin, Dan Modrow of Frazee, Don Wattenhofer of Ponsford, Jim Kjelstrup of Detroit Lakes, Mark Olson of Ottertail, Phil Holtan of Perham, Mike Lickiss of Detroit Lakes and Ron Eberle of Detroit Lakes.

Many of the pieces in this show will be available for sale. Stop by by for a chance to purchase one-of-a-kind locally made holiday gifts while supporting local woodturning artists.

A gallery reception will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4 for a chance to view the show and meet some of the artists. The reception will also feature live demonstrations from Don Wattenhofer (thin-walled goblet) and Dan Modrow (salt shaker).
