WADENA —The Wadena Lions Club is excited to celebrate their 100 year anniversary and are inviting the community and area clubs out to celebrate.
In January 1922 they became the second club of the now established 5M9 District.
"For the past 100 years our club members have been working hard to live the motto 'We Serve,'" according to 100-year anniversary co-chairs Ryan Damlo and Wayne Wolden. "Whether helping new charter clubs become established, supporting the many amazing programs across our district and state, or focusing on the needs our community, the Wadena Lions Club has continued to serve."
The club wants to celebrate their anniversary with all neighboring clubs and welcomes them to join them.
"Since our focus has always been on the community we serve, we feel like a good old-fashioned picnic is the best way to continue giving back to our community," the committee shared.
