VERNDALE — All are welcome to join in the festivities as the Verndale Alliance Church celebrates the completion of a new building addition on Saturday, Aug. 20, at the church.

It's also where the AWANA program will be taking place. Those attending can register for kids to be involved in the AWANA program this year.
Food and yard games will be part of the open house.

85th Anniversary

The Verndale Alliance Church will celebrate 85 years on Sunday, Aug. 21. A special celebration service starts at 9:30 a.m. Service is followed by a potluck. Former staff will be joining the congregation as they look back on the 85 years as a church.
The church building is located at 109 NW Brown Street in Verndale.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
