Eighth grader Kelanie Oldakowski recently passed the Minnesota Music Theory Exam with High Distinction.
The exam took place last month in Alexandria. This program helps students to develop skills in music theory and integrate them in piano performance. It's also required for students wishing to participate in the statewide Minnesota Piano Contest.
Kelanie, a piano student of Julia Whynott, earned a perfect score of 63 out of 63.
