Cloudy skies kept the breeze cool but didn't rain on the Deer Trails Day parade in Deer Creek Saturday. Fist fulls of candy were the only showers that came down as parade participants emptied buckets of sweets on the street for eager children to gather.
Grand Marshals Frank and Lila Tranby led a procession of fire trucks, floats, pageant queens and tractors.
Other events held at the annual summer event included church bake sales, a flower show, water wars by the Deer Creek Fire Department, bed races and an all-school reunion in the evening.
