WADENA — The second annual Flag Day program is set for 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, at the Wadena Veterans Park.
This program is presented by the Veterans Park committee, the Elks Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars of Wadena.
Everyone is welcome to attend to learn the history of the United States flag. There will be a musical selection, the VFW Color Guard will be present and the pledge of allegiance will be recited, followed by a flag burning ceremony.
Information will also be shared about the Veterans Park and the museum will be open. Refreshments will include coffee, lemonade and cookies.
You are asked to bring your own chair as seating is limited.
The museum will continue to be open every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Labor Day and on the Fourth of July.
The museum and Veterans Park are located on Harry Rich Drive just off Highway 10 east of Wadena.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
