The 14th and final ride of the Kruzin 4 Kidz event brought out a good crowd on a beautiful day Saturday, Aug. 17.

The group left Wadena at noon traveling east on Hwy 10. They then headed for Cushing, Wahoo Valley and returned to the Elks Lodge in Wadena that evening.

One of the three main organizers of the event Randy Atchley said this would be the final ride organized by this group. He noted that someone could take over the event if there was a desire to do so.

Recent changes in funding brought some changes for the annual event, which in the past, donated all the money raised to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Through that work, the group helped raise over $250,000 and grant wishes for over 50 kids battling with critical illnesses. As the funds needed to make a wish happen increased, and it became more difficult to find a local child to support, the group switched over to donate the funds more broadly to children's charities. The group posted on their Facebook page about the final ride.

"Thank you all for your support throughout the years. We, along with every wish kid and their families, are so proud and grateful for everything. With this being our last year, we encourage everyone to post pictures or videos. Thank you all again so much."
