Bunny hop to the nearest Easter egg hunt

Easter is fast approaching and soon parks, yards, and fields will be littered with colorful eggs of all shapes and sizes. The Wadena area will host several prominent Easter egg hunts. This list contains important information in regard to each hunt.


The Wadena Chamber of Commerce will have their annual Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m., April 20. The hunt will take place at the Wadena Softball Park, weather permitting. Otherwise the event will be moved to M-State. The hunt will have approximately 14,000 eggs.

The Great Eggscape is a 2-hour event held at the Epicenter Church in Wadena. The event will start at 2 p.m., April 20, and will consist of various games, food and raffles with major prizes. Additionally, there will be a hot dog picnic area to raise funds for a youth trip this summer to Kentucky.


The Verndale Lions club will have their egg hunt at 10 a.m., April 20, at Verndale Park. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the hunt will be moved to the Verndale Fire Hall. A free will donation French toast breakfast will also be going from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Verndale Community Center. The Lions Club will also have a children's coloring contest. An Easter egg hunt begins at 10:30 a.m., April 20, at the park in Bluffton.


Sebeka Community Asset Builders will be hosting their Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m., April 20, at the Sebeka Park. Children up to sixth grade are welcome to join the egg hunting festivities. The event will also have goodie bags, door prizes, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. The event is free to attend but donations are appreciated.
